Hydrangea was started by Bill Li, who began roasting coffee as a way to make the kind of high quality, fruit forward coffees he loved more accessible to himself and to others. What started as a personal project quickly grew into a cult favorite among enthusiasts who chase clarity, intensity, and contemporary modern processing.

Based out of Berkeley, California, Hydrangea is focused on light roast coffees that celebrate florals, high definition acidity, and saturated sweetness. Bill’s roasting style is precise and analytical, but always in service of flavor. The goal is simple: showcase the most expressive version of each coffee without muting what makes it exciting.

Each bag features original illustration by artists they work with, reflecting the playful but meticulous spirit behind the brand.
