KAMAVINDI COFFEE LAB IS ONE OF THE REGION’S MOST ICONIC FAMILY-RUN COFFEE ESTATES, FOUNDED IN 1958 BY THE GRANDPARENTS OF CURRENT OWNER PETER. THE ESTATE TAKES ITS NAME FROM THE STREAM RUNNING THROUGH THE PROPERTY: THE PREFIX “KA” IN “KAMAVINDI” REFERS TO “PLACE,” WHILE “MAVINDI” DENOTES THE INEDIBLE PART OF THE YAM.
